                  Morning Hymn

                        Never Alone

I’ve seen the lightning flashing, and heard the thunder roll

I’ve felt sin’s breakers dashing, trying to conquer my soul

I’ve heard the voice of my Savior, telling me still to fight on

He promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone

The world’s fierce winds are blowing, temptation’s sharp and keen

I have a peace in knowing, my Savior stands between

He stands to shield me from danger, when earthly friends are gone

He promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone

He died for me on the mountain, for me they pierced His side For me He opened the fountain, the crimson, cleansing tide For me He’s waiting in glory, seated upon His throne He promised never to leave me, never to leave me alone

Chorus

No, never alone, no, never alone

He promised never to leave me

Never to leave me alone

Scripture Reading

Matthew 28:16-20

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
